On April 22, the  presentation and exhibition of methodical textbooks published in recent years  wasa held by the teaching staff of the faculty of Mathematics at the Scientific Library of Sumgayit State University.

 The opening of the exhibition was attended by the dean of the faculty, the staff of the faculty and its students.

Opening the exhibition, Elmar Khalilov vice-rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations, greeted the participants, congratulated the authors and spoke about the importance of the presentation. He stressed that the prestige of such events, which have already become a tradition at our university has increased significantly.

The head of the scientific library Naila Amrahova said that the inclusion of new publications in the system database of our library will be important for the use of students and staff of SSU.

Then the dean of the faculty of Mathematics, associate professor Khalida Hasanova congratulated the authors and thanked the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov for the created conditions, noted the need to develop modern textbooks and teaching aids in accordance with the curriculum of mathematics. She spoke about the work done in this direction at the faculty. Noting that the new publications were a valuable resource for a wide readership, the dean said that they were a significant  contribution to the history and science of mathematics in Azerbaijan.

The authors expressed their deep gratitude to the university administration for the organization of the exhibition, spoke about the creation of new publications and the topics covered here.

Vice-rector for Science and Innovations, professor Ramazan Mammadov congratulated the authors, wished them success in their scientific activities, noted that scientific activity requires great effort and the creative process was also important. The vice-rector also noted that in this regard, in accordance with the "Action Plan" for 2021 on the implementation of the "Strategic Development Plan" of SSU under the leadership of rector professor Elkhan Huseynov  the competition was held  in the nomination "Best Textbook and Teaching Aids" which was the main stimulus for teachers' scientific activities. Currently, a competition was  held for the "Best Monograph" nomination.

After the speeches, teachers and students got acquainted with the publications, exchanged views with the authors.

It should be noted that the publications were intended for scientists, specialists in mathematics, university students, as well as a wide range of readers.
