The Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis and New Year was celebrated in a Big Hall of the Sumgayit State University.At first the participants of the event had a look the students paintings and handcrafts which were exhibited in the lobby.
The ceremony was opened with  the anthem of the Independent Azerbaijan Republic.
The rector of the university Elkhan Huseynov greeted all participants.He congratulated all the Azerbaijan people on the occasion of the day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis and New Year on the 31st of December.He noted soon one more calendar year will become one of the remarkable pages of the history.The 2015 was one of the most successful and remarkable year for Azerbaijan.One of the successful  events was the First European Games.We all were proud of it .It was a real historical event.Our country got great success both in social political and social economical spheres.Elkhan Huseynov believes that the 2016 will be rich with the period of development in all the areas of our lives.
Elkhan Huseynov noted during his diplomatic activities in Turkmanistan his heart was always beating with love for Azerbaijan.In great sure he added all the Azerbaijan people will celebrate The New Year and The Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis in Shush and in Garabag under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev.
At the end professor Huseynov awarded  all the employees prize of 100 manat on the occasion of the New Year.
On the 25th of December  the students demonstrated the performance" Monsieur Jordan and dervish Mastali Shah". Elkhan Huseynov also awarded the students who took part at the performance.   The ceremony went on by Nadir Qafarzade" s and Jamila Nadir" s merry songs.
