The next online seminar organized by the Baku branch of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov (Sechenov University) jointly with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan within the University of Health was held on June 22. The seminar covered the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of COVID-19 new coronavirus infection and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the psychological health of the population.

The seminar was attended by Khanahmad Hasanov, associate professor of the Department of Biology and its teaching methods, Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, Sumgayit State University, and students of the faculty.

Deputy Chief Physician of Baku Health Center Nurana Guliyeva made a report on "Diagnosis, treatment and prevention of COVID-19 new coronavirus infection", psychiatrist, Ph.D. Gulay Mammadzadeh, Assistant of the Department of Psychiatry of AMU on "The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the psychological health of the population."

The speakers also spoke about the urgent measures taken in Azerbaijan to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Thanks to the decisive steps taken by President Ilham Aliyev, the attention and care shown to our people, all the work done today by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in our country is aimed at protecting citizens' health. They noted that the presence of both President Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and their appeals to the citizens of the country once again proves that the civic factor in Azerbaijan, especially their health and safety is always a priority.

Then the speakers gave detailed information on the prevention, prevention and treatment of the disease.

There was a wide exchange of views on the reports, a number of proposals were made to strengthen the fight against coronavirus and expand awareness.

Khanahmad Hasanov, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology and its Teaching, Sumgayit State University, thanked the speakers for the detailed information. He noted that the role of doctors and medical workers in the fight against coronavirus is very large. There is no denying the work of doctors and medical staff, who have become a source of hope for the relatives of patients, in the fight against coronavirus infection. Associate Professor Khanahmad Hasanov also noted that special attention is paid to ensuring the active participation of

faculty and students of the university in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in propaganda and awareness-raising activities related to vaccination.
