Memorial Day is celebrated in faculties
The Action Plan of Sumgait State University has been approved in accordance with the action plan approved by the order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. F-42 dated September 7, 2021. In this regard, a series of events are being carried out at Sumgayit State University.Events dedicated to the Memorial Day organized by the Student Youth Organization and the Student Trade Union Committee were held in the faculties of Chemistry and biology, as well as Physics and electric power.
First, the memory of the martyrs of the Motherland, who died for our territorial integrity was commemorated with a minute"s silence.
The management of the faculty spoke to the participants of the event about the courage and braveness of the martyrs and veterans of the Patriotic war who showed incomparable heroism in the liberation of our lands from enemy and emphasized that all our martyrs who defended the Motherland at the cost of their lives are the pride and honor of the Azerbaijani people and their memory will live in our hearts. May God have mercy on our martyrs and heal our veterans!
Veterans who were living witnesses of the Patriotic war at the event, shared their war memories with students.
Then the students recited poems dedicated to the Patriotic war and our martyrs.
