The rector of the Caucasus University, professor Ahmet Sanic and his delegation visited Sumgait State University on March 10.
The rector, professor Elkhan Huseynov warmly welcomed the guestsand expressed his satisfaction to see them in the university. Mutual benefits and perspectives of cooperation on the development of education, as well as teacher and student exchanges between the two universities, academic cooperation and increasing mutual cultural relations were discussed at the round-table. Rector of the Caucasus University also stressed the importance of relationship between students in socio-political and sport field.
In the agreement, it was noted that of collaborationon Chemical Engineering, Engineering and Mathematics between the universities, organization of joint conferences, congresses, round tables, and even invitationof Nobel Prize winners and other issues will be reflected in the document that will be sighned in future. Implementation of all these was assigned to the dean of the Chemistry and Biology Faculty, associate professor Mahal Muradov.
The director of the Petrochemical Processes Instituteof ANAS, academician VagifAbbasov attending at the meeting said that such meetings between universities contribute greatly to the development of education and science. Noting the importance of close cooperation with local universities, Professor AhmetSanic said that one of the key factors that will influence the development of higher education of Azerbaijan is cooperation with each other and to share their knowledge and experiences.
