Our students are the winners of the “Student’s Cup “Khamsa”

On Nov 22, Haydar Aliyev Center hosted a knowledge contest of ‘’ Sumgait Students’ Cup “Khamsa” devoted to the Day of the City by mutual efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic and Head Office of Youth and Sports of Sumgait.
An event started by the National Anthem of Azerbaijan Republic. Mr. Z. Farajov (head of executive power), and the members of the General Assembly Mr. M.Babayev, T. Mirkishili and M. Khalilov took part in the opening ceremony.
The head of the Executive Power Mr. Farajov widely spoke about the successful policy on State Youth, which was the part of the political way of national leader Mr. Haydar Aliyev and conducted under the leadership of his sun, a worthy successor Mr. Ilaham Aliyev, the president of Azerbaijan Republic. The speaker noted that the president’s care and attention at this field brought about successful realization of that policy in Sumgait. During the next visit of the president to Sumgait several social establishments were given to the exploitation and they are supplied by all conditions in order for use of the city inhabitants, namely to improve teenagers and youth abilities and knowledge, and to develop their intellectual level by conducting the workshops accordingly. By the end of the speech the participants of the contest were wished of luck. The contest hosted 10 teams out of one university and three comprehensive schools of the city that regulated by the judges of Sumgait Intellectual Club attached to Head Office of Youth and Sports. Each team was consisting of six people, and generally sixty students joined to the contest. Due to the results the winners of the interesting contest were the team “Sumgait State University”. The team “Fighters” of Sumgait Technical College owned the silver medals and at last the second team “Oblivion” of Sumgait State University deserved by the bronze medals.
The winning teams awarded with the diplomas, cup, and were presented of the gifts by the Head of Office of Youth and Sports.
