The excursion of pupils became a bridge from the comprehensive school to the high school
Paying a special attention to the formation of intellectual potentiality and transformation of economic potentiality into intellectual capital for the complex development of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev is bringing into reality the words, said by the great leader Haydar Aliyev such as “Education is a future of the nation”. Taking as a significant aspect of science integration to education, he realizes it by the several concluded resolutions and statements and implements some several key projects for the progress of the country. Education is one of the important fields of each country and society. At present, our country owns smart, high talented and educated people. Thanks to them that our country is enjoying many successes and achievements. One of the main targets of SSU is to meet the present standards and to be among the powerful scientific organizations. In this respect, the university concludes some several agreements, expands the cooperation relations, develops the cadre potentiality by attracting famous scientists to the education process of the university and pursues flexible policy for the formation of student potentiality by arranging master classes, excursions for the pupils in the university and etc. An excursion from February 2 to 14, arranged by the mutual efforts of SSU and Sumgait Education Office for the 6th class pupils of secondary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums is organized in this respect. 
I should be noted that an excursion that to be organized for the higher classes of Sumgait comprehensive schools has already taken a traditional way. Such kind of excursions stimulates the pupils in order to determine the specilaity, to choose educational institutions for the future study and to define the future job place. Vise - rector on humanitarian issues, assoc. professor Mr. Ramiz Huseynov widely spoke about the achievements, international reputation and scientific-intellectual potentiality of university and noted that: “our university has passed through the long development way during 55 years of its activity and became a university with big potentiality which produces high qualified personnel. Modern development trends of globalizing world brought about the new specialties and made as a priority to conduct an educational training in this way.  The university is paying a special attention to this matter. In this respect, the university has established modern labs and departments which meet the modern requirements. Meanwhile, the university has constructed ground chess board and playgrounds for the football, volleyball and basketball, and also table games pavilions in order the students to enjoy a rational leisure time”. He notified that our university recently has got an accreditation certificates, produced by the famous agencies such as ASIIN and ENAEE and the following three specialties has passed an accreditation of European standards: for bachelor degree – “Engineering of process automation” and “Electro power engineering”; for master degree – “Energy management”. After the speech of the vise rector, the well-informed pupils went to the Center named after the Great leader Haydar Aliyev. They enjoyed the photos of the Great leader, reflecting his childhood, adolescence, studentship, working period in Committee of National Security and the years of his governance. Hereinafter, the pupils have got a chance to be acquitted with the departments of high qualified academic staff, with the labs supplied by the modern equipment and the library of rich literatures. In the end, the pupils have watched the promo video of the university.
The pupils left the university, one and only high school of the city with the good impressions and with a wish of study at Sumgait State University in the future.
