Mr. Sergey Korolyov is the founder of ballistic and geophysical rockets, said Mr. Ramazan Mammadov   
Our university develops the international cooperation relations with the different universities of the world in order to improve education process. In this respect, it is a great of importance to conduct mutual conferences and scientific programs, and meanwhile to realize an exchange of the students and lectures. In these regards, our university has held an event within the project “Scholars and children” dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Sergey Korolev’s birth, which was organized in cooperation with the Informational – Cultural Center of Russia. The Head of Association of the Russian Education Institutions Mrs. Lubov Yakumina and the head of department of Shamakhi Observatory after N. Tusi Mr. Pasha Akhmadov took part of the event as well as the students, academic staff of the university and scientists of the observatory. 
The vise – rector on innovations and science Mr. Ramazan Mammadov made an opening speech and welcomed the guests to the event. He widely spoke about the role of the founder of Soviet cosmonautics Mr. Sergey Korolyev (the founder of the ballistic and geophysical missiles) in the development of the cosmonautics. Besides, the speaker spoke about the first artificial satellite Sputnik – 1 that launched to cosmos on October 4, 1957. It was the first satellite over the earth which was sent by the Soviet Union. That historical day is a beginning of the aerospace era and at present it is celebrated as a Day of Russian Aerospace Forces. At the same time Mr. Keldish, Mr. Lidorenko, Mr.Tikhonrarov and other scholars took part in the creation of the artificial satellite under leadership of Mr. Korolyev. 
Mr.Ramazan Mammadov noted that Mr. Korololyev as a man who made a lot of contributions for study of cosmos is paid tribute in nowadays, too. The coordinator of the Information Center of Russia Mr. Natig Aliyev, the department in chief on planet and celestial objects of  Shamakhi astrophysical observatory PhD in Physics and Math Mr. Atai Adalet, the leading specialist of that body PhD in Physics and Math Mr. Dimitri Shetsapalov and the director of the Human Pedagogy Center of Education Institute Mr. Riza Khalilov made the presentations regarding the life and activity of Mr. Korolyev. They notified that there were constructed the ships and rockets for the cosmos flights in OKB under the leadership of Mr. Korolyev. Even, one of his first designed rockets “Soyuz” is applied up to now, too. It was noted as well that Mr. Koroloyev played a big role in first human spaceflight who was Yuri Gagarin and the creation of R7 rocket and Sputnik -7 satellite launch is one of the achievements of him. Meanwhile, it was noted that one of the responsible persons for the projects on conquest of the space was Mr. Karim Karimov as well as Korolev. Being the head of the State Commission of USSR Cosmic Flights, Lieutenant – General Mr. Karimov has got peerless services in the development of cosmonautics. Meanwhile, he played a big role in the creation of the cosmic apparatus and in first human spaceflight. He had been awarded with “Lenin award” which was the high honorary award of the USSR for the successful results of space launch of Yuri Gagarin. Starting from the position of a senior engineer in 1965, he had been appointed as the head of the Office of Cosmic Tools in 1965. In the same year he has been sent to the official journey to the Ministry of Machine-Building. That new established ministry combined all the institutions of cosmic industry under its leadership. Mr. Korolev achieved that Mr. Karimov became a head of State Commission for Cosmic Ships. Mr. Karimov has got a Lieutenant – General rank in 1967 for his successful realization of the first automatic combination of “Soyuz” cosmic ships. Even after the retirement he kept dealing with this field to the end of his life so that he was an adviser of the Center of Flight Management. He has been awarded with many awards such as honorary title “Lenin medal”, honorary title of heroism of Soviet Union, medal of Red Labor Flag and medal of Red Star.
The head department of Semiconductors Physics, Professor Mr. M. Zarbaliyev made a speech as well and notified that Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani scientists played a big role in the creation of development of cosmonautics. After the victory over the fascism in 1945, the Soviets and the Americans started to split the equipment of all missile making factories and their personnel between themselves. To that end, Mr. Karimov took part of this activity as well. Due to the memories of Karimov, many German specialists including the deputy of Fon Braun, the contractor Mr. Getrub and about 20 FAU-2 missiles sent to USSR at that time. The fist start of the soviet ballistic rocket occurred namely on the basis of that equipment on October 18, 1947. Afterwards, those systems, being improved under the leadership of Korolev, began to be worked out as the continental ballistic missiles “Vosxod” and “Soyuz” at the aim of nuclear bomb carriage. It was promoted to the fist space launch of artificial satellite in 1957 and first human spaceflight.
