Senior researcher of the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, 35-year-old young doctor of physical sciences Elchin Huseynov studied radiation physics, nanoelectronics and nanonuclear technologies in prestigious centers of USA, Germany, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Turkey, Russia and many other countries. He has done various work and participated in conferences and events. The scientist is the author of 93 scientific works. In international rating systems, the h-index is 18, the i10-index is 23, and the number of references is more than 500. Under the leadership of E. Huseynov, seven masters and two doctors of philosophy were trained.

For the first time in his research, neutron transformations were found in 3C-SiC nanocrystals, and n-type additives were obtained by neutron transmutation within nanocrystalline 3C-SiC particles. He was the first to demonstrate the ability to control the physical properties of nanomaterials by transmutation. In nanostructures, the replacement or replacement of atoms by neutron transmutation has been scientifically proven and successfully tested.

E.Huseynov was awarded with the honorary diploma of ANAS in 2014. In 2017, he was awarded the honorary title of "Young Scientist of the Year".

According to the results of the "Victory Award in Science ‒ 2021" competition organized by the Science Development Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Islamic World Organization of Science, Education and Culture (ICESCO) on the occasion of Victory Day and World Science Day. Elchin Huseynov won the first place.
