Department of Geography and its teaching methods
The Department of Geography and its eaching Methodology has been operating under the name of the General Geography Department since June 2005, and has been named the department of Geography and its teaching methodology since March 2017, and the head of this department has been entrusted to prof. Tahir Aghayev.

Scientific direction of the department: 5408.01 - Physical geography and biogeography, soil geography, geophysics and geochemistry of landscapes. 5801.01- Geography teaching methodology
2 monographs, 21 books, more than 144 scientific articles, 160 theses were published by the department. This year, 11 out of 12 scientific articles were published in foreign countries (5 articles in journals with an impact factor), 1 report thesis was published in the materials of international conferences held in foreign countries. 7 textbooks and 14 methodical materials were printed for the department. Including this year, 10 syllabuses for the department have been prepared.

Aliyev Institute of Geography of ANAS, Institute of Ecology of the National Aerospace Agency, Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources etc.
