OUR STUDENTS VISITED ALLEY OF MARTYRS IN SUMGAYIT
29 years passed from 20 January tragedy which occurred on 19-20 January, 1990. Though years passed, our people don’t forget this tragedy and commemorate martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our independence. Every year people visit Martyrs’ Alley and express their respect to heroes of 20 January.
On January 16, students of Sumgayit State University visited Alley of Martyrs in Sumgayit city on 29th anniversary of 20 January tragedy by the initiative of Students Trade Union and Student Youth Organizations. They commemorated those who perished for the sake of liberty and sovereignty of motherland, laid carnations on their graves.
