On January 22, exam process of autumn semester of 2018/2019 academic year observed by the participation of members of Public Control and Advisory Board under Rectorate of SSU, parents, representatives of non-governmental organizations and media at Sumgayit State University and Sumgayit State Technical College under SSU.

Vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov gave wide information to monitoring participants about organization of autumn exam session of 2018/2019 academic year, examination rules and the works performed for providing objectivity and transparency in exam process. He notified that according to Order of Minister of Education issued on organization of exam session, exams are held according to existing rules and transparency and objectivity in assessment of students’ knowledge provided. Since the beginning of exam session, exam process observed by the participation of members of Public Control and Advisory Board, parents, community representatives, heads of non-governmental organizations and media at Sumgayit State University and Sumgayit State Technical College under SSU.

Vice-rector highlighted that examinations are carried out in a written form. After the exam, papers encoded at exam headquarters, checked by the lecturers and results announced. The students disagreeing with their marks could appeal to appellation commission with application and their marks could be raised after verbal examination. Exam Headquarters and Hotline are functioning at the University for investigating discontent that may occur during the exam and solving them in time, as well as the application and suggestion boxes are placed in all teaching buildings of the University.

Afterwards vice-rector on Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov visited Teaching Methodical Center, auditoriums, coding room with delegation for observing exam process. They also observed the process of encoding of papers and checking exam results by lecturers. The guests visited laboratories equipped with modern equipment and rich e-library.

Vice-rector emphasized that Professor Elkhan Huseynov observes examinations personally. Rector accepts students and parents every day during the session, hears them, cares students’ attitude towards exam process and gives his assignments.

After examination concluded, members of Public Control and Advisory Board spoke with students. They expressed satisfaction on created circumstances for students and thanked to University administration, Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov.

Later the delegation observed exam process at Sumgayit State Technical College under Sumgayit State University. Head of Sumgayit State Technical College docent Matanat Pirguliyeva met them and noted that preparation works have been carried out in time for providing transparency in exams. Public Board members and other participants appreciated executed works.

The students expressed their gratitude to College administration for created objective circumstances.
