On May 3, rector of Baku Business University prof.Ibad Abbasov and his delegation held a meeting at Sumgayit State University within “Establishment and development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijani universities” ERASMUS+EQAC project.

Rector of university prof.Elkhan Huseynov accepted the guests and gave wide information about international relations of the university, its participation in local and international projects, the works executed for improving quality indicators of education. He notified: “Erasmus+EQAC project is of great importance in terms of learning and applying international experience. SSU has been a partner of ERASMUS+EQAC project since 2018. Within a past year our employees took part at republican and international events related to the project”.

Vice-rector on Teaching Organization and Training Technologies docent Natiq Talibov, dean of the Economics and management faculty docent Aynura Yahyayeva, head of Process automation department prof.Javanshir Mammadov, head of Department of International Cooperation Samira Mammadova, head of QAC Nihad Huseynov, head of Section of Evaluation and Quality Assurance docent Khalil Aliyev, deputy senior accountant Ravan Rzayev actively participate at the project and represent the university in the trainings, meetings. Director of “Qartal” construction company Shahin Mammadov and senior engineer of “Azerchemistry” production unity Bakhtiyar Musayev also involved in the project work.

Rector of Baku Business University prof.Ibad Abbasov thanked to rector of SSU prof.Elkhan Huseynov for sincere welcome, emphasized advantages of integrating into European higher education zone. He pointed out that the aim of the project is setting up quality assurance centers at the universities, adapting work principles on European standards.

The other speakers highlighted substantial importance of the project for education system.

The meeting went on with discussions around the topic.
