On May 7, the event arranged at SSU, dedicated to 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev by the organization of Chemistry and biology faculty.

At first, state anthem of Azerbaijan Republic sounded.

Launching the event by welcome speech, dean of the faculty docent Mahal Muradov notified that Heydar Aliyev had complicated, difficult and at the same time interesting lifeway. “By his intellect and innate abilities he could ascend to the peak. He has a rich heritage and devoted himself to the advancement of Azerbaijani statement. Great leader had an exceptional role in realization of desire of independence of our nation, national statehood idea and immortalizing modern Azerbaijan Republic. Heydar Aliyev could support Azerbaijani people to struggle for their sovereignty by establishing firm economic bases of future independence of our country in soviet period. National leader Heydar Aliyev saved Azerbaijani statehood from the threat with his second return to authority, justified the nation’s trust and paved the way for stability and progress. He protected our nation’s independence, eliminated socio-political crisis and laid the foundation of development. Great leader implemented construction works that preconditioned progress and prosperity of Azerbaijan”.

Senior lecturer of Department of Azerbaijani history Parviz Jafarov delivered speech and spoke about several orders and decrees with historical importance issued by Heydar Aliyev and highlighted the works executed by national leader for preservation of our statehood. He pointed out that his ideas are ideological bases of strategic development line of our country. The policy founded by him is successfully carried on his heir-President Ilham Aliyev.
