The following training was held at Professional Development Institute of Teachers within the framework of project “Improving the skills of teachers in the field of inclusive education”, implemented on May 13-15 by UNICEF and “Regional Development” Public Unity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, financed by European Union. The employees of several education institutions and also Sumgayit State University took part in the training, which was jointly held with Education Ministry. The event aims to improve training abilities of teachers and stimulate them to application of new teaching methods in inclusive education sphere. International experts Dr.Peter Grimes, Marieke Stevens, Arlene dela Cruz, Tricia Mercado, Kaisa Ligaya conducted the training on the base of prepared program.

The employees of Sumgayit State University attended the trainings: head of Department of Pedagogy and psychology docent Aytekin Mammadov, associates of the Department: docent Sevinj Karimova, Sevar Mirzayev, senior lecturer Ayna Hajiyeva, chairwoman of International Cooperation Department PhD in history Samira Mammadova, chief of Center for Students with disabilities and senior lecturer of Foreign languages department Tarana Guliyeva, senior lecturer of Department of Azerbaijani language and its teaching methods Aynura Baghirova.

The test exam conducted on the last day of the training for teachers within 90 minutes. The purpose was to determine following training strategies.
