OUR STUDENTS WERE WINNERS IN THE COMPETITION OF ATHLETICS
XIV Republican Universiade is held among the students of higher education institutions, by the organization of “Youth” Student Sports Society according to calendar plan approved by Youth and Sports Ministry and Education Ministry of Azerbaijan. The competition is held on 10 types of sport and covers more than 1000 students.
On May 19, Republican championship was held on Athletics among universities in the stadium of Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport.
Our students actively participated in the competition: Iksanov Ilham was awarded I place on 100 meters running and long jump, Aliyev Zaur I place on 400 meters running, Babayev Nurahmad I place on shot put. The team of Sumgayit State University was awarded I place.
