On May 21, V student Scientific Conference started off at Sumgayit State University, dedicated to 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

At first the participants got acquainted with the exhibition consisting of students’ reports, who have won places in the conference, in the foyer of Assembly hall.

Board chief of Student Scientific Society Naila Zeynalova opened the conference by welcome speech and reported the activity of SSS in 2018-2019 academic year.

Afterwards SSS Board chiefs on faculties spoke about executed works and gained achievements on the faculties. They noted that the society positively impacts on increasing intellectual level and knowledge of students.

Rector prof.Elkhan Huseynov noted that holding such conferences is commendable in terms of increasing interest of students to research works. He pointed out that dynamic and patriot youth is growing and effective opportunities created for them as a consequence of successful implementation of state youth policy founded by great leader Heydar Aliyev under administration of President Ilham Aliyev. Rector said: “As a result of state care, Azerbaijani youth gain substantial achievements in international arena. Rector spoke about implemented education reforms in the country, and also the works done for improving education level and renovating material base, stimulating the students to scientific activity at Sumgayit State University. Student Scientific Society successfully carries out the organization and coordination of research works at our university. Our students participate and get certificates at republican and international scientific conferences, seminars, subject Olympiads, competitions”.

Vice-rector on Science and Innovations prof.Ramazan Mammadov delivered speech and talked about achievements of students and significance of Student Scientific Society. He said: “SSS aims to reveal knowledge and skills of students, direct them to research work and form their ability of research, analysis and comparison. In this term this conference is of great significance”.

In the end the diplomas were presented to the students, who won first places at V Student Scientific Conference.
