On June 25, Rector professor Elkhan Huseynov, vice- rector for Science and Innovations professor Ramazan Mammadov, chief of Doctorate and Master Programs Office docent Sabir Khalilov, faculty deans, department heads and professor-teaching staff observed the process of final State Attestation in bachelor’s degree.

The students presented graduation works on their specialties and comprehensively responded the questions of heads and members of exam commission.

Rector of university professor Elkhan Huseynov congratulated graduates, highly appreciated their preparations, as well as substantiation of their thoughts freely and wished them luck in their future activities. He spoke of special care of President Ilham Aliyev devoted to advancement of science and education. Rector said, “According to the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic “On providing scholarship for doctoral candidates, students and pupils of higher, secondary special and initial vocational education institutions, as well as master students of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences”, scholarships to doctoral candidates, students and pupils of higher, secondary special and initial vocational education institutions increased. All these are the samples of President’s care and attention to science, education and youth.” Prof.Elkhan Huseynov expressed his satisfaction on defense of students’ graduation works.

Rector also emphasized that Sumgayit State University renews its cadre potential with its graduates every year. Several graduates work as a laboratory worker, specialist and lecturer at the university.

The students thanked Professor Elkhan Huseynov for his care and attention devoted them during their education and expressed their assurance that, knowledge and practice gained at this university will play an important role in their future lives.
