Student years are the most memorable period of a person"s life. Over the years, we have worked as a university team to open the doors of science to you and train you as high-level specialists. For this purpose, we bought new, modern laboratories at the university, created an electronic scientific library, an open-air Electricity Training Museum and a high-voltage substation - Training Landfill to strengthen the practical knowledge of our students. We managed to send a group of our students to a number of universities around the world to participate in international competitions and scientific conferences. Your achievements and the results of the semester exams show that our efforts were not in vain. A graduate of any university is an indicator of its success and achievements. I hope that the success you will achieve using the knowledge you have gained in education in the coming years on the labor front will further enhance the reputation of the university. The most proud achievement of the university is its successful graduation. Just as you proudly chose Sumgayit State University, we are proud of you as our alumni. Sumgayit State University annually renews its human resources with graduates, and this year we will create the necessary conditions for them to engage in scientific and pedagogical activities, keeping a group of our graduates at the university. The involvement of young specialists in the educational process once again demonstrates the sustainability of these successes.

The coronavirus pandemic, which has grown into a global health crisis, has not gone unnoticed in the education system of our country, as in many other areas. From the first days of the pandemic, the state regularly informs the population, prevents mass gatherings as a preventive measure, provides assistance and support to our citizens abroad, provides financial assistance to low-income families, members of socially vulnerable families. State payment of tuition fees for students and other measures are vivid evidence of President Ilham Aliyev"s high leadership talent and endless love for his people. During the pandemic emergency, as in other universities, the educational process at all faculties of Sumgayit State University began to be conducted online. Obviously, online learning can never completely replace the traditional learning process. However, thanks to the efforts of our students and teachers, our work in this direction has yielded positive results.

Although we were unable to hold a solemn "Graduation Day" during these difficult days - during a pandemic, I share your joy and wish you good health and success in your future endeavors.

Unfortunately, this year"s graduation day falls at a time when the world is facing the threat of a pandemic. I am confident that as a result of the unity of our people, we will be able to overcome this test and meet again with our students at our home university.
