The progressive work done by the founder of modern, independent Azerbaijan, prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev and his services to our Motherland have made him the National Leader of our people. An entire chapter of the modern history of Azerbaijan is connected with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Today, the Day of Commemoration of the great son of the Azerbaijani people, great leader Heydar Aliyev marked with great respect. On this occasion, the Student Youth Organization of Sumgayit State University marked the 17th anniversary of the memory of the architect and founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, national leader Heydar Aliyev in an online format in all faculties.

SYO chairman Tayfun Hajili spoke about the life and activity of great political figure Heydar Aliyev, his work for the comprehensive progress and prestige of the republic during his leadership in Soviet Azerbaijan, his return to political power for the second time, his contribution to political stability and economic development. He gave detailed information about the work done by President Ilham Aliyev for the development of our country, successfully continuing and developing the political course of the great leader, the state activity that led to the historic victory over the enemy and the liberation of our occupied lands. He noted that the process of national self-awareness in our country, the strengthening of the Azerbaijani ideology and the strengthening of national solidarity is associated with the name of Heydar Aliyev.

Then other speakers spoke in detail about the great leader Heydar Aliyev's activity for the people of Azerbaijan, the projects implemented by his worthy successor President Ilham Aliyev to implement the ideas and political course of the genius, the strengthening and further development of our country, the Great Victory of the Azerbaijani Army. They stressed that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, led by our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, based on the ideas of Heydar Aliyev, have achieved a historic victory. Although 17 years have passed since the death of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, world-famous politician Heydar Aliyev, his ideas and deeds are always alive.
