Novruz holiday is one of the most ancient, valuable and beloved holidays of our people. It is impossible to say the exact date of Novruz among the people. However, this holiday has become a high expression of the most sublime feelings of the people, peace, friendship, unity, sincerity, compassion. Since the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in independent Azerbaijan, Novruz celebrations have entered the life of our people once and for all. Today, President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva pay special attention to our national and spiritual heritage. Our people celebrate this holiday with greater enthusiasm and high spirits. Because the successful policy pursued in the country, the large-scale reforms initiated have led to a significant increase in the economy and social welfare of the people.

Under the leadership of Muzaffar Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our brave Army, heroic soldiers, martyrs who sacrificed their lives and blood for this land gave victory and celebration to our people, healed the wounds of hundreds of thousands of our citizens, and hopes to return home came true.

During his visit to Shusha, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief once again declared that both Shusha and Karabakh are free from the Cidir plain, the area where the locals have been celebrating Novruz since the time of the Karabakh khanate. The owners of this land have returned, weapons in their hands, flags in their hands, patriotism in their hearts: “Patriotism has brought us to Victory. Patriotism has become the main factor of our victory.

We are confident that we will successfully complete 2021 as well. Azerbaijan will pass the coronavirus test with honor and with few losses. To achieve this, we must all show solidarity and unity.

Rector of Sumgayit State University Professor Elkhan Huseynov congratulated all employees of the university on the upcoming spring holiday of Novruz, wished them prosperity, peace and new achievements, and gave them a cash prize as a holiday gift.

It should be noted that, in accordance with the order signed by the rector of SSU, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, in order to improve the social situation of employees, financial assistance is provided to all employees of the university every year on the eve of the New Year, Novruz, Ramadan and Eid al-Adha.
