OUR EMPLOYEES ATTENDED THE WEBINAR "ERASMUS + PROGRAMS"
On March 18, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a webinar on Erasmus + programs. The speaker of the webinar was Parviz Bagirov, Director of the Erasmus + Azerbaijan Office, who spoke on "Erasmus + Programs".
The main purpose of the webinar is to educate university representatives about the opportunities provided by the ERASMUS + program for Azerbaijani universities, existing programs (ERASMUS Mundus, HORIZON 2020, Jean Monnet) and the conditions of their admission, to develop project writing skills and habits.
For information, the Erasmus exchange program for 2021-2027 is organized in 3 parts:
1. KA1- exchange (student commuting);
2. KA2- Tempus project, building good cooperation;
3. KA3 - Definition of Bologna-type reforms in education policy.
The Erasmus Mundus master's project is open to the whole world and is a scholarship program for all specialties. Turkey is also one of the six member states of this project, and Azerbaijan is on the list of partner countries. The amount of loans in the new project is 120, 90, 60 and. etc. In order to apply, they must have a minimum bachelor's degree and apply to the project consortium.
Unfortunately, the Jean Monnet program is not given importance in Azerbaijan. It was launched by ADA University in 2014-2015 and was the first program in the region. The Jean Monnet project has been implemented in more than 1,000 universities in 89 countries around the world. Advantage: Each university participating in the project remains Jean Monnet University. This program is used in high school, at all levels of education.
Only one project won in Azerbaijan last year. In 2019, Europe spent 17.7 million euros on this project. Erasmus + programs are generally funded by the European Commission.
The webinar was attended by participants from Azerbaijani universities, as well as Khayala Mursaliyeva, a senior lecturer at the Department of Azerbaijani Language and its Teaching Methods, Sarvan Badalov, a senior lecturer at the Department of History and its Teaching Methods, and Elnur Ahmadov, an assistant at the Department of Petrochemistry, attended from SSU.
