Youth is beauty, strength, hope. Properly brought up, educated, possessed any profession within their knowledge and skills, intelligent, talented young people are the bright future of the nation and the state. There is a day in the calendar that is celebrated around the world as International Youth Day. On April 24, Sumgayit State University hosted an online round table by the organization of the Council of Young Scientists and Researchers of SSU on "Azerbaijani youth and international solidarity" dedicated to the International Youth Solidarity Day.

The event was opened by Khayala Mursaliyeva, Chairwoman of the Council of Young Scientists and Researchers of SSU, who greeted the participants and spoke about the historical significance of the International Youth Solidarity Day. She noted that by the decision of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, the International Youth Day of Solidarity has been celebrated on April 24 every year since 1957. The celebration of this day serves to draw the attention of government agencies, the public and the media to the problems of young people.Khayala Mursaliyeva congratulated all young people on the occasion of Solidarity Day.

Speaking on "Integration of Azerbaijani youth into the international youth movement", Sevinj Salehgizi, Director of the Sumgayit Office of the Youth Development and Career Center, said that great progress had been made in integrating Azerbaijani youth into the Youth Movement. Youth organizations in our country join the youth programs of international organizations such as the UN, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, the European Union, participate in joint projects, hold regular events with the youth of the CIS and other countries.

Ulker Bayramova, Director of Khazar University's Training and Education Center, spoke on "ICT in Education and Demonstration of International Solidarity by Youth in the Internet." She noted that the rapid development of information and communication technologies and the processes of globalization have a serious impact on the lives and mindsets of young people.

Samira Mammadova, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Students of SSU, spoke on "The role of youth in promoting the truth of Karabakh in the international arena." She noted that thanks to the determination of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the heroism of our army, the repulsion of Armenian provocations and a worthy response to the enemy raised the patriotic spirit of our compatriots around the world. Azerbaijanis living in different countries express support and solidarity with the steps taken by the state in this direction.

Elmar Khalilov, Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party's Sumgayit City Organization for Youth Affairs, spoke on "The role of the New Azerbaijan Party in calling for national and international solidarity of young people." The New Azerbaijan Party, founded by our great leader Heydar Aliyev, has radically changed the life of our people and country, and at the same time has passed a glorious path full of political struggles. The New Azerbaijan Party, which unites all segments of society in its ranks, is strengthening its leading role in society as a carrier of the brilliant ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Elmar Khalilov stressed that young people have a great advantage in the ranks of the YAP, and the absolute majority of newcomers to the party are young people. Today, the YAP Youth Union unites talented young people who want to serve society and the state, as well as comprehensive development of the new generation, raising the spirit of patriotism, involvement of young people in active social activities and other areas. On the basis of the principles of the Azerbaijani ideology led by the party, love for the motherland, worthy representation of Azerbaijan abroad, protection of our national and moral values are promoted among the Azerbaijani youth.
