In honor of the memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, engraved in the memory as the architect of modern Azerbaijan, Sumgayit State University organizes a series of events, conferences and online lectures on "Life and activity of Heydar Aliyev" in all faculties.

From May 3, on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, lectures on "Heydar Aliyev"s life and state-building policy" are held at the faculties of SSU by the faculty staff of the Department of History of Azerbaijan and Eastern European Peoples of the Faculty of History and Geography.

The speakers spoke about the great leader Heydar Aliyev"s services to our people and state, his attention and care for the development of education. It was noted that years will pass, generations will replace each other, Heydar Aliyev"s far-sighted strategy will always illuminate our path to a successful future as an eternal torch.

It also stressed that today, as a result of the hard work of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who duly continues the successful policy of world-famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, today Azerbaijan is constantly moving forward as an independent, just, democratic and secular state. The people believe in the President and follow him with confidence. As a result of this belief, Azerbaijan is already a victorious country. Under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the victorious Azerbaijani Army has been liberating enemy-occupied lands for nearly 30 years. This victory is also the completion of the glorious mission founded by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the rejoicing of his spirit.
