INTERNATIONAL STUDENT STUDYING AT SSU TOOK PART IN THE VISIT TO MILITARY TROPHY PARK ORGANIZED BY THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
On May 4, the Ministry of Education organized a visit of foreign students studying in our country to the Military Trophy Park. During the visit, foreign students were informed about the glorious victory achieved as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War. During the visit, the determination of the Azerbaijani army was demonstrated against the background of military booty, and a close acquaintance with the military equipment and ammunition taken from the enemy was organized.
Tural Ahmadov, head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education, said that more than 70 foreign students joined the event: “Currently, foreign students from 49 countries visit the Military Trophy Park. Our goal is for foreign students to see the success of our army with their own eyes. Our students are represented in various auditoriums, platforms, use social networks. This will contribute to the restoration of our country"s sovereignty to the world. In order to continue this work, we plan to visit our liberated lands with our foreign students in the future.
It should be noted that some of the military equipment looted during the Second Karabakh War, more than 300 exhibits, including about 150 heavy equipment, tanks, combat vehicles, artillery, anti-aircraft missile systems, small arms, military equipment transport is exhibited. The exhibits, the defense system consisting of 10 walls, shelters, military barracks, information about the course of the Great Patriotic War give Azerbaijan ample opportunity to revive the victorious battles.
The event was attended by more than 70 foreign students from 28 higher education institutions from 49 countries, representatives of higher education institutions and employees of the Ministry of Education. Mataullah Saidi, an Afghan citizen studying physics at Sumgayit State University, and Natavan Guliyeva, an employee of the Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Students, participated.
At the end, the impressions of the participants were listened to and dozens of photos were taken.
