OUR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TOOK PART IN THE WEBINAR OF PHOTOJOURNALIST RZA DIGGATI
On May 4, the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized an online meeting of foreign students studying in our country with Rza Diggati, a well-known photojournalist of National Geographic magazine and world-famous Azerbaijani photographer living in France.
Foreign students studying in higher education institutions operating in our country and Azerbaijani students studying abroad took part in the webinar on the analysis of photojournalist Rza Diggati in his own language on acquaintance and comparison with photos taken in 1992 and post-war period. Employee of the Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Students of Sumgayit State University Natavan Guliyeva, Ibrahim Kiraz (Turkey) 3rd year student of Psychology, Kepeli Mustafa (Turkey) 4th year student of Electrical Engineering, Mataullah Saidi (Afghanistan) 1st year student of Physics, Monireh Emami Barijough (Iran) 1st year student of Psychology attended the webinar.
Rza Diggati, a well-known photojournalist who took it upon himself to come to Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War, said he considered himself lucky and proud to witness the great Victory and to see the liberated lands.
Noting that he has exhibited photos of the atrocities committed by Armenian aggressors in the occupied territories for 30 years, the miserable lives of displaced people, the tragic fate of the murdered people and their families in exhibitions in many countries, R.Diggati made a live presentation of his photos from the liberated Kalbajar region.
At the end, R.Diggati answered numerous questions of the meeting participants about his life, art, professional activity, future plans and other issues, and shared his rich memories.
At the meeting, which was met with great interest by foreign students, the participants expressed their gratitude to R.Diggati, who has visited more than a hundred countries and is the author of about two million photos.
