RECTOR OF SSU, A GROUP OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS WERE AWARDED THE "JUBILEE BADGE" ON THE OCCASION OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE OF THE FREE TRADE UNION OF EDUCATORS
On June 11, in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Free Trade Union of Educators of the Republic of Azerbaijan (FTUERA) at Sumgayit State University, the rector of the university, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, a group of teachers and students were awarded the "Jubilee Badge" for their services to the trade union movement.
First, the rector, Professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Educators of Azerbaijan Mirza Jafarzadeh and said he was pleased to see him at the university.
Rector Elkhan Huseynov thanked the chairman of the Republican Committee of FTUERA Sattar Mohbaliyev for the attention paid to him, spoke about the development path of SSU, its achievements over the years, the tasks ahead, the university's close cooperation with many universities around the world.
Mirza Jafarzadeh, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Educators of Azerbaijan, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC), conveyed the greetings of Sattar Mohbaliyev, Chairman of the organization, to Rector Elkhan Huseynov. He gave detailed information about the activities of the Republican Committee, noted that great importance is always attached to relations with SSU and presented the "Jubilee badge" to the rector.
Then, Mirza Jafarzadeh and Elmar Khalilov, Chairman of the Free Trade Union Committee of the University, presented the "Jubilee Badge" to teachers and students in the Small Assembly Hall in accordance with the rules of social distance and hygiene.
Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov congratulated the awarded teachers and students and wished them new success in their future activities.
Elmar Khalilov, Chairman of the Free Trade Union Committee of the University, spoke about the reforms carried out at the University in recent years, the projects implemented, the labor, social and economic rights of employees. Elmar Khalilov noted the role of Rector, Professor Elkhan Huseynov in improving the working conditions of faculty, researchers, teaching staff and farm workers, as well as the implementation of successful reforms in several areas at the university.
Elmar Khalilov thanked the chairman of the Republican Committee of FTUERA Sattar Mohbaliyev and the deputy chairman Mirza Jafarzadeh for the attention paid to the university staff.
