AN EVENT DEDICATED TO NOVEMBER 8 - VICTORY DAY AT THE FACULTY OF PHILOLOGY
An event entitled "Victory Day" dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day was held on November 6 at the Faculty of Philology with the participation of professors and students.
A minute of silence was observed in memory of the sons of the Motherland who died for the liberation from occupation. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Sevinj Hamzayeva, who congratulated the participants on the upcoming Victory Day and spoke about the importance of this historic victory. She noted that it was the determination, political will, strong army, brave soldiers and officers that gave us this victory. “Now all our martyrs have been avenged. In short, we have been waiting for this day and we are lucky to live it. Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”
The event was held on the Zoom platform and was attended by 260 students and teachers to celebrate such a great victory day. This is a matter of great pride for both our faculty and our university. Shahvaladov Humbat and Mirzali Aysel, students of groups 934 and 919 of the faculty, acted as leaders. They delivered speech: “Thanks to the well-thought-out strategy, political will, and determination of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, a historic victory was achieved by ensuring the unshakable unity of the army and the people. After the victory, many years will pass, and history will never forget this glorious victory as the brightest page of the destiny of our people. The faculty administration and teaching staff thanked our students for their speeches. Special thanks were addressed to Tamara Kocharli, Chairwoman of the Student Youth Organization of the Faculty of Philology, and Lala Khalilova, a student of the 938 group, who prepared the scenario of the event, as well as assisted in the artistic training of students.
