A review competition of the festival of artistic creativity dedicated to the 99th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at SSU on April1.

The festival, held by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Presidium of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Educators of Azerbaijan  among students of higher, secondary and primary vocational education, aims to develop national patriotism, respect for our culture, art and national traditions.

In the competition, our students demonstrated their skills in various genres of art. The performances of the singer, dancer, art reader and ashug students were met with interest by the jury.

Identification of talented students  was carried out by  a jury of well-known cultural and art figures of the Republic of Azerbaijan - teacher of the National Conservatory, People"s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mubariz Tagiyev, Vice-Rector of the Baku Academy of Choreography People"s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Tarana Muradova, Honored Art Worker, poet Baba Veziroglu, Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Soloist of the Ballet theater, People"s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Jafarov, chief director of the Opera and Ballet theater, Honored Art Worker Hafiz Guliyev, chief adviser of the Department of Extracurricular Activities of the Ministry of Education Maral Salmanova.

At the end of the competition, after proposig and recommendations, the jury wished the students success and thanked the university administration for the created conditions, attention and care.

The final concert of the festival winners will be held in May. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and gifts from the Ministry of Education and FTUEA.
