Having a special place in our country`s achievements, education is fundamental to every field.The only factor evolving society is education. It is not accidental that Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan HeydarAliyev`s following consideration “Education is the future of the nation’ has become an activity conception of society. Leading states estimate significantly education, especially Higher education. Comprehensive measures over development of education, quality improvement are being implemented today in Sumgayit State University. Based on teaching staff potentiality, science and education, setting management model, creating healthy and transparent educational atmosphere, establishment of higher education management on a level of modern requirements are brought to the fore. Expanding international partnership, improvement of staff potentiality is always in the spotlight. University Administration always focus attention on teaching of academic knowledge, as well as practical knowledge, skills and competences in lectures and seminars , also on setting up programs and textbooks, teaching aids, electronic variants of lectures and preparing worker-training program in a high level. So that, 7 faculties and Preparation Centre with Foreign Students, 45 departments, 6 scientific-investigational laboratories are functioning in our University. More than 100 foreign students are studying in the University. Student contingent reached a peak of 5000 by increasing two times.
In Sumgayit State University since the 14th of August admission of applicants` documents has begun. By care and attention of our University Administration and teaching staff, students are met in a high level.First students we got acquainted during the registration LalaJabbarova (entered the Faculty of Biology, specialty of ecological engineering), TabibMammadov (entered the Faculty of History and Geography, specialty of History teacher) , YetarMehrabova ( entered the Faculty of Physics and Electrical Energetics, specialty of Physics) and GunelGaribova (entered the Faculty of Philology, specialty of Azerbaijani Language and Literature) mentioned that choosing Sumgayit State university, they believe in getting a high-quality education and establishing successful career with the help of teaching staff of this University.
