On May 16, the election of a new chairman of the Student Youth Organization of Sumgayit State University was held. We should  note  that the election process was monitored by representatives of the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan.

In order to conduct the election process democratically and transparently, ballot boxes were first placed in the lobby of the university. As a result of a secret ballot conducted among students, Elmin Novruzlu, a third-year student of the faculty of History and geography of SSU  was elected chairman by a majority of votes, thanked his fellow students  and spoke about his plans and goals.

As a press service, we also congratulate our student and wish him success in his future endeavors. 

We would like to inform you that since its establishment, the Student Youth Organization of Sumgayit State University has set the main goal of ensuring the active participation of students in the socio-political, social and cultural life of the country in the implementation of state youth policy. To achieve this goal, SYO regularly conducts awareness-raising activities among students, organizes scientific conferences and seminars, symposiums, round tables with their participation and attracts active students. Identification of talented and creative students, effective organization of youth leisure time, solution of students" social problems, etc. The organization carries out a number of activities in these areas, closely demonstrates its commitment to the traditions of statehood by closely uniting around President Ilham Aliyev. The work done by the organization is highly appreciated. SYO activists  participate in all events of the university and represent SSU in inter-university competitions and contests.
