On November 19, deputy dean for educational issues of Sumgayit State University Sabina Aliyeva and faculty chair of the Student Youth Organization Sakina Babayeva visited the family of Elnur Samadov who was martyred on September 12, 2022, during the prevention of large-scale provocation by the Armenian Armed Forces.

Sabina Aliyeva spoke with the martyr"s family during the visit, expressed her respect and gratitude to the martyr"s family on behalf of the scientific-pedagogical staff. Then, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Sumgayit State University the book “Yaddaşlara yazılan talelər”( "Destinies written in memories") dedicated to martyred and veteran students of the university was presented to Mrs. Aynur - the wife of martyr Elnur Samadov.

It should be noted that Elnur Samadov was born on March 11, 1988 in the city of Ismayilli. In the 2005-2006 academic year, he was admitted to the full-time department of the specialization of automation of technological processes and productions at the faculty of Engineering of Sumgayit State University and graduated in 2009. Elnur Samadov fought in battles in the direction of Murovdag, Jabrayil and Fuzuli during the Patriotic war in September-November 2020. According to the Orders of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev he was awarded with the order "Azərbaycan Bayrağı" ("Flag of Azerbaijan") ,the medals "Füzulinin azad olunmasına görə" ("For the liberation of Fuzuli"), "Kəlbəcərin azad olunmasına görə" ("For the liberation of Jabrayil"),"Füzulinin azad olunmasına görə" ("For the liberation of Fuzuli").
