On December 24, the final round of the 5th debate-speech tournament dedicated to the "Year of Shusha" on the topic "Organizations play an important role in regulation interstate relations" organized by the Student Youth Organization , the Debate club and supported by the Student Trade Union Committee was held.

Anar Gurbanov - the chairman of the SSU Debate club opened the ceremony, greeted the participants and gave detailed information about the debate-speech tournament on the topic "Organizations play an important role in the regulation of interstate relations", spoke about the purpose of the program and the work related to it within the framework of the program. He noted that 26 teams participated in the Debate Forum.

The competition was observed by the judges of the Debate Civil Society along with the judges of our university"s students. The teams "Dashaltı" of the faculty of Philology and "Istiglal" of the faculty of History and geography proved to be the strongest and qualified for the finals.

Then, in the final, the competition of "Dashaltı" and "Istiglal" teams started. As a result, "Istiglal" team won.

At the closing ceremony, the vice-rector of the university, associate professor Elmar Khalilov greeted the participants, congratulated the winning team, and informed about the series of events held on the occasion of the "Year of Shusha". He highly appreciated the activities of the debate club, spoke about the role of debates in the development of young people, the youth policy carried out in the country, and the attention and care given to them. He said that the state youth policy, which was founded by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, is being successfully continued today. Increasing year by year the economic power of Azerbaijan allows to take more effective measures and implement large-scale programs and projects in the direction of ensuring the physical, intellectual and spiritual development of young people, solving their social problems, supporting their innovative ideas and initiatives, revealing their knowledge and skills. Today, young people are closely involved in the socio-economic and social-political life of our republic. Having achieved success in the fields of science, education, culture, sports and military construction, they make a contribution to the recognition of Azerbaijan in the world.

Chairman of Debate Civil Society Ulviyya Akhundova and chairman of Student Youth Organization Elmin Novruzlu talked about the importance of debate for the future life of students and stated that debate culture plays an important role in increasing the language ability of young people, enriching their speaking skills, in their future professional activities and also in the formation of a personality, and they wished success to the debate participants. .

At the end, the winning team was presented a cup and a medal, the best speakers were awarded with medals, and all participants received certificates.
