On February 16, a training seminar on "Effective communication" organized by the Ministry of Science and Education and the Media Development Agency was held.

The main goal of conducting the training-seminar is to improve knowledge and skills related to the analysis of social media accounts of scientific and higher education institutions, the correct use of communication tools, the organization of communication and other directions, and to contribute to the development of professional habits in the field of media.

Responsible employees for public relations of scientific institutions and universities of ANAS under the ministry, as well as media representatives took part in the training-seminar.

Speaking at the opening ceremony the executive director of the Media Development Agency Ahmet Ismayilov  spoke about the reforms carried out in the field of media. Ahmad Ismayilov said that the main part of these reforms is the organization of proper communication with the society.

Adviser to the minister of science and education Elnur Nasibov participating in the opening ceremony  said in his speech that strengthening the communication of the institutions under the ministry is one of the main priorities. The minister"s adviser added that monitoring has been started since December of last year in order to determine the needs of scientific fields. Approval of the new regulation  of the scientific institutions under the ministry is expected in the near future.

Adviser to the Minister of science and education  Nijat Mammadli  said that the main issue today is the popularization of science. It is very important to direct information to more facts, not to give false information, and serious steps should be taken to promote science in society.

Speaking later, vice-president of ANAS, general director of the Institute of Information technologies Rasim Aliguliyev expressed his satisfaction with the organization of the mentioned training-seminar. Rasim Aliguliyev emphasized the importance of strengthening existing relations between the ministry and its subordinate institutions and the importance of effective organization of communication work, such as pointed out that trainings are important.

Later, Cesarat Valehov  head of the public relations sector of the Ministry of Science and Education made a presentation about  "Analysis of social media accounts of scientific institutions and universities".

In the continuation of the training-seminar, the participants made a speech in the topics and shared their experience: Parvana Ibrahimova - an expert of the Media Development Agency, "Media literacy", Veli Alibayov - head of the "Alibayov" communication and consulting company "Improving successful communication, correct use of communication tools", trainer Togrul Alakbarov- "Effective presentation skills", trainer Fakhri Agayev  "Personal and professional development", public relations and communication specialist Azer Nazarov "Basics of PR and communication for educational institutions", as well as Rashad Jafarov, head of Education TV,"Possibilities of cooperation with Education TV"

Discussions were held within the framework of the training-seminar, and the questions of the participants were answered.

We should   add that Nazkhanim Jalilli - head of the press and public relations service of Sumgayit State University  participated in the training-seminar.
