"NEW CLUB" WAS ESTABLISHED AT SUMGAYIT STATE UNIVERSITY
On April 4, the founding meeting of the "YENI Club" formed at Sumgayit State University was held within the framework of "Heydar Aliyev Year".
SSU vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations associate professor Elmar Khalilov NAP Youth Union chairman Bakhtiyar Islamov, deputy chairman Fasli Nabiyev and the students took part in the event.
First, the participants laid flowers in front of the bust of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev erected in the lobby of the university and paid tribute to his memory.
At the opening of the event, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated with a minute"s silence.
Opening the meeting, SSU vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations associate professor Elmar Khalilov greeted the participants and guests and spoke about the importance of the meeting.Young people play an important role in the politics of Azerbaijan, the vice-chancellor noted that the club that supports the socio-political activity of students and their personal development is of great importance in our university.
He believes that "YENI Club" will implement useful projects by taking important initiatives, pointed out that as a result of the successful youth policy founded by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Worthy youth are growing in our country: "Azerbaijani youth have high knowledge and broad outlook at the same time, they are formed as worthy citizens by experiencing the ideas of Azerbaijanism.
Docent Elmar Khalilov also noted that the main idea of President Ilham Aliyev"s youth policy is to educate them as worthy citizens and patriots. Every young person regardless of nationality, religion and race should be loyal to the idea of Azerbaijaniism, the vice-rector summed up his opinion as follows: "Today, the outlook of Azerbaijani youth is different. They are well acquainted with the processes going on in the world and has a high analytical ability."
The vice-rector also expressed his belief that the "NEW club" formed under SSU will increase social activity of students at the higher educational institution, as well as help to their personal development. I am sure that high values such as statehood and patriotism will be promoted in the activity of the "YENI club".
Then, the head of the Club, a student of the faculty of History and geography Songul Karimzadeh gave detailed information about the "NEW Club". She said that the club will work together with other organizations within the higher education institution, organize competitions, contests, projects, debates, discussions, trainings, as well as events in foreign languages.
NAP Youth Union Chairman Bakhtiyar Islamov highly appreciated the establishment of the "NEW Club" formed under Sumgayit State University. He continued her speech and talked about the importance of forming "NEW Clubs" at higher education institutions. He expressed his confidence that the clubs will play an important role in increasing the entrepreneurial role of the students in the society, as well as supporting the personal development of the students and in the creation of networking between students studying in the universities.
We should note that the foundation of the "NEW club" is the implementation of various initiatives and the realization of multifaceted projects in the fields of public-social, patriotism, personal development, sports and a number of other directions with the participation of students at SSU.
