On April 4, among the students of higher education institutions, a viewing competition of the artistic creativity festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at Sumgayit State University.

According to the decision of the Presidium of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers, the festival is held among students of higher, secondary and first vocational education institutions with the aim of developing national patriotism, respect for our culture, art, and national traditions.

In the competition, our students demonstrated their skills in various genres of art. Students" skills in various fields-performance, dance, artistic recitation were welcomed by the jury.

Selection of talented students by a jury consisting of well-known cultural and artistic figures of the Republic of Azerbaijan was carried out - director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater, honored artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, doctor of philosophy in Art Studies, associate professor Aliqismat Lalayev, Vice-Rector of the Baku Choreography Academy, People"s Artist Tarana Muradova , Honored  Art Worker  Baba Vaziroglu, Chief Director of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, Honored Art Worker, director of the final concert Hafiz Guliyev, People"s Artist Gulyanag Mammadova, the teacher of National Conservatory of Azerbaijan Arslan Novrasli.

At the end of the competition, the jury gave suggestions and recommendations to the participants, wished success to the students, and expressed deep gratitude to the university management for the conditions.

We should note that the final concert of the festival winners will be held in May. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and gifts of the Ministry of Science and Education and FTUAEW.
