On May 4, an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held under the organization of the Mathematics faculty of Sumgayit State University called "The secret of numbers in the universe".

First, the dear memory of National leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated with a minute"s silence.

The head of the department of Mathematics and its teaching methodology, associate professor Maftun Heydarov, opened the event, greeted the participants and, talking about the importance of the event, stated that one of the series of events organized at Sumgayit State University within the framework of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" is the event called "The secret of numbers in the universe".

In his speech he spoke about the invaluable services rendered by President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy follower of the genius leader in today"s development, spoke about the state support in training intellectual and educated youth and highly qualified personnel.

Talking about the secret of numbers in the universe, associate professor Maftun Heydarova also pointed out that mysterious numbers have been interesting to people throughout history. Numbers are not just a mathematical symbol. They have a great role in human life.

Later, music was played with the participation of faculty students. Presentations prepared by students were presented at the event.

Then the dean of the faculty of Mathematics, associate professor Khalida Hasanova, shared her impressions about the event and noted that the interesting event called "The secret of numbers in the universe" was dedicated to the dear memory of the Great Leader. The dean spoke about the honorable life path of the genius, his activities and historical services to our country. She said that like the universe, the history of our world is also endless. It is so infinite that sometimes it is likened to a "window that people look through". The number of people who look at this world through the window of history is also infinite. In this chain of infinity, there are very rare faces who do not just look and pass by, but leave a strong mark that changes the life of humanity with their gaze. It is the image of such personalities that earns a permanent place on the honor board of history.

Heydar Aliyev is the person who took his honorable place in our history, raised his statue in the hearts of millions of people and became an eternal symbol of our history of independence. Time brings a deeper meaning to Heydar Aliyev"s political views, it shows more clearly that he is connected to the present and future of our Motherland.

Associate professor Khalida Hasanova also noted that Heydar Aliyev"s personality is so rich that if you approach it from any aspect, you can reach the ocean of his selfless activity. Heydar Aliyev"s never-ending legacy, his political genius, which distinguishes him from other world politicians of his contemporaries, and his creative intelligence, will be the subject of multilateral research for many years.
