A SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR WAS ORGANIZED AT THE FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS OF SSU
On November 30, the scientific seminar was held with the organization of the department of Differential Equations and Optimization of the faculty of Mathematics of Sumgayit State University, outstanding mathematician of Azerbaijan, head of the department of Mathematical Cybernetics of Baku State University, professor Kamil Mansimov on the topic "The history of the creation, development and modern problems of the theory of optimal control".
Opening the seminar, vice rector for Social affairs and public relations of the university, Elmar Khalilov, opened the seminar and conveyed rector Rufat Azizov's greetings to the participants and spoke about the importance of the event. He said that in recent years, serious steps have been taken in the direction of improving the quality of both teaching and the scientific activity of the professors and teaching staff at Sumgayit State University. Thus, international and national conferences and scientific seminars are organized at the university from time to time. From this point of view, organization of scientific seminars in faculties is of great importance.
Then the dean of the faculty associate professor Khalida Hasanova gave a speech and spoke about the innovations that professor Kamil Mansimov brought to Azerbaijani science in the field of mathematics. She said that such seminars and discussions held by scientists together on the topic contribute to the development of our national education in addition to the improvement of knowledge in this field.
Professor Fikret Feyziyev, head of the department of differential equations and optimization, gave brief information about the scientific and pedagogical activities of Kamil Mansimov.
Later, professor Kamil Mansimov gave detailed information about the relevance of the mathematical field he studied and the importance of the efficiency of solving mathematical problems. At the end of his speech, he gave his suggestions and recommendations to young people who want to work in this field, and answered the questions of graduate students and students.
In the end, professor Nabi Gurbanov, head of the department of Mathematical analysis and theory of functions, and Khayala Seifullayeva, associate professor of the department of Differential Equations and Optimization, expressed their gratitude to mathematician Kamil Mansimov for the interesting and beneficial seminar.
