TWO OF OUR STUDENTS WERE AWARDED ‘THE HEYDAR ALIYEV SCHOLARSHIP’
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the establishment of the Heydar Aliyev scholarship dated June 24, 2023, competition commissions were established in universities for the purpose of awarding scholarships to students distinguished by their high achievements in education. Taking into account the criteria approved by the Ministry of Science and Education by the competition commissions, the selection was made from among the students studying full-time at the undergraduate (basic (basic) medical education) level of higher education.
2 students of Sumgayit State University with high achievements in education: Nubar Osmanova, a student of the Faculty of History and Geography majoring in "Teaching History and Geography" and Laman Ahadova, a student of the Faculty of Mathematics majoring in "Mathematics and Informatics Teaching" were awarded ‘the Heydar Aliyev scholarship’.
Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov, vice-rector for social issues and public relations of the university, congratulated the students who were awarded scholarships on behalf of Rector Rufat Azizov and wished them success in their educational activities.
It should be noted that the Scholarship is paid by the Ministry of Science and Education at the expense of the state budget in the amount of 3 thousand manats.
