On April 18, the familiarization of high school students with the university, organized by the joint initiative of Sumgait State University and Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department, continues.

The tour, organized for the purpose of promotion among students, has a positive effect on the development of cooperative relations between universities and secondary schools, improvement of the methodology and

methodology of this work, and the improvement of the quality of education as a whole, especially pedagogical education.

Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov, vice-rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations of SSU, welcomed the students of Sumgait city secondary schools and gave them detailed information about the university, its perspectives and advantages, and spoke about the wide range of opportunities created for students in the university. He said that the university has 3 educational buildings, auditoriums and laboratories in accordance with modern educational standards, a rich scientific library, an information and computing center equipped with modern equipment, self-activity groups such as dance and recitation at the Student Club, Debate-speech club, chess, football, badminton , there is a large sports complex including table tennis, horse riding, fencing, a gymnasium and a Student's house, an open-air Teaching museum.

The vice-rector also drew attention to the fact that holding such meetings and getting detailed information about the specialties of each faculty is a great help to the development of applicants as more professional personnel in the future.

At the end of the excursion, the students also expressed their satisfaction with being at the university and expressed their gratitude to the university management and the initiators for the meeting.

It should be noted that the meetings with the students of the schools will continue until May 2 in the direction of forming relations between the university and the schools, and stimulating the enthusiasm for higher education among the students.
