On February 26 Student’s Scientific Society (SSS) put on an exposition of students’ paintings on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of Khojali genocide in the university entrance hall.
The head of the SSS –assistant professor Islam Pashayev opened the meeting and announced a moment’s silence for the sake of victims. He said that young generation had to play an important role in explanation the truth all over the world. It was also mentioned that Khojali genocide- the tragedy of the 20th century – was a result of Armenian criminal and aggressive policy not only against Azerbaijan independence but humanity as a whole.
Some students-Nijat Ismayilov (History and Geography faculty), Amine Guluzadeh (Engineering faculty), Gunel Rahimova (Biology faculty), Hazrat Abbasov (Philology faculty) had a speech and told about the international success of “Justice for Khojali” project in the world. A documentary film about Khojali was demonstrated. The video of this Memorial day will be shown in Yakhin Dogu University, International Cyprus University, Sakarya University, Kazakhstan State University.
