On September 16, a bilateral meeting was held between Bahcesehir Cyprus University of the Republic of Turkiye and Sumgayit State University. Acting rector of Sumgayit State University, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Aminagha Sadigov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Associate Professor Elshad Abdullayev, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Ulduz Aghayev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Logman Abdullayev, Head of the International Cooperation and Strategic Relations Department, Aysel Eminova, Rector of Bahcesehir Cyprus University, Professor Mehmet Toyjan, Board Member Mert Osmanlar,Secretary General Mehmet Toyjan attended in the meeting. Acting rector of the University, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Aminagha Sadigov greeted his colleague from Turkiye and his delegation, expressing his satisfaction with seeing them at Sumgayit State University. He noted that the friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkiye are also developing successfully in the field of education, and this cooperation opens up broad opportunities for universities in the two countries. Then, Rector of Bahcesehir Cyprus University, Professor Mehmet Toyjan expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown and emphasized the importance of establishing scientific and academic cooperation between the two higher education institutions. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to dual degree programs, joint applications for grant projects by both universities—particularly in the fields of engineering, computer engineering, and economics—as well as collaboration in faculty and student exchange programs.
At the end of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between Sumgayit State University and Bahcesehir Cyprus University.
