An educational event entitled "What is SYO?" was held among students at Sumgayit State University. First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence. Opening the event, the university's Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations, Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov, noted that student youth organizations are an integral part of university life and play an important role in shaping students' personalities and increasing their social activity. He emphasized that the state youth policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev has given a great impetus to the development of Azerbaijani youth and is invaluable importance in their self-expression in society. Then, Bakhtiyar Guluzade, Program Manager of the Azerbaijan Student Youth Union (ASYU), made a speech and noted that the organization, in addition to ensuring the active participation of young people in public and social life, creates ample opportunities for them to be active in cultural and mass events, spend their free time effectively and usefully, and also establish social relations. Bakhtiyar Guluzade wished the young people success in their future activities and advised them to make the most of the created conditions and effectively use the opportunities provided. The Chairman of the Student Youth Organization (SYO) of SSU, Ravan Pashayev provided information about the history of the organization's establishment, its structure, main areas of activity and implemented projects. Then, a quiz was held among the students. The students who won the competition were presented with gifts by the SYO. At the end of the event, interesting music was performed by the "Ayna Band" group.
