A meeting was held with the leadership of “Holberton School” at Sumgayit State University
On October 9, a meeting was held at Sumgayit State University with Florian Bucher, head of the Holberton School network, Shamsi Bayramzade, director of Holberton School Azerbaijan, and Nigar Jamalova, project manager of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency. The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between the university and the Holberton School and the possibilities of implementing joint projects.
Acting Rector of the university, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Aminaga Sadigov, welcomed the guests and provided detailed information about the directions of activity of Sumgayit State University, digitalization initiatives implemented in recent years, work done in the field of information technologies, and new trends being applied.
Then, Florian Bucher and Shamsi Bayramzade made a comprehensive presentation on the activities of the "Holberton School" network, the educational programs offered, the modern educational technologies and training models applied. It was noted that the "Holberton School Azerbaijan" project, implemented within the framework of the cooperation between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and the "Holberton School", is a modern educational model designed for young people and professionals who want to build a career in the field of programming and information and communication technologies. Holberton School that founded in 2016, is an international education network currently operating with 35 branches in 20 countries, including Azerbaijan. The school aims to train highly qualified personnel in the field of modern technologies and, for this purpose, relies on innovative teaching methods - a peer-to-peer learning approach based on project-based learning and knowledge exchange between students.
