At the 76th International Astronautical Congress held in Sydney, Australia, Azerbaijan was represented by a National Scientific Team consisting of 53 students, young specialists and scientists from 14 higher education institutions. Organized by the COSMİC Academy, operating under the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the delegation presented articles at the congress on space research, space communication and navigation technologies, as well as space education.
A second-year master's student in Cybersecurity from the SABAH groups at Sumgayit State University, Matanat Ahmadova also participated in this prestigious international event. She worthily represented our country and our university by presenting a project called "Letrivia" at the E8 IAA Multilingual Astronautical Terminology Symposium. The article submitted by the student covered the concept of a mobile application that aims to teach space terms in a gamified way. The project serves to increase interest in space sciences and to master terminological knowledge in this field in an interactive manner.
In the presentations of SABAH group students, topical topics such as the safety, stability, and sustainability of space activities, Earth observation technologies, small satellite missions, and research using artificial intelligence were discussed at the event.
