The Ministry of Science and Education is implementing a comprehensive plan of measures in accordance with the priorities of state policy, including ensuring sustainable development, efficient use of alternative energy sources, reducing environmental problems, etc. These words were spoken by the acting rector of Sumgayit State University, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Aminaga Sadigov at the international conference on "Challenges in the field of energy, food, environment and climate security" held in Baku on October 15. Aminaga Sadigov said that environmental and climate security is one of the most pressing scientific and practical problems in modern times. He emphasized that solving these problems requires the application of deep and interdisciplinary approaches at the global level. He noted that for this purpose, various scientific platforms are being formed and large-scale projects are being implemented in a number of developed countries of the world. Professor Aminaga Sadigov pointed out that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, our country is hosting important international initiatives in the fields of science and education, as well as in the economic, political and cultural spheres. He considered the holding of international events such as the "Eurasian Universities Summit" in our country as a clear example of this. He noted that the Ministry of Science and Education has been implementing systematic measures to improve the organizational and scientific quality of international and republican-level scientific conferences held in our country in recent years. The Ministry supports the holding of conferences that meet international standards and scientific requirements, and thanks to this work, the prestige and scientific effectiveness of scientific events organized in our country have significantly increased. He emphasized that the Ministry of Science and Education is implementing a comprehensive plan of measures in accordance with the priorities of state policy, including ensuring sustainable development, efficient use of alternative energy sources, reducing environmental problems, etc. To this end, the Ministry supports scientific research projects, international and national conferences, as well as various initiatives. At the same time, appropriate changes are being made to textbooks and curricula in order to integrate sustainable development principles into teaching in secondary and higher education systems. "The Ministry of Science and Education has funded a number of projects in recent years to stimulate scientific activity and promote research in priority areas," said Aminaga Sadigov, emphasizing that the Ministry has provided financial and institutional support to research conducted by many scientific institutions, including the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, in strategic areas such as the environment, climate change, artificial intelligence, and information technologies. Professor Aminaga Sadigov said that today's conference serves as an important platform for joint discussion and cooperation between the scientific community, government agencies, and representatives of the private sector. He said that the discussions held within the framework of the conference will create an opportunity to form new scientific approaches and develop practical recommendations in the fields of energy, food, environmental and climate security.
