On October 16, a competition called "Sixty Seconds of Intelligence" was held, jointly organized by the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Teaching Technology and the Student Scientific Society.
First, the National Anthem was played, and a minute of silence was observed in memory of our heroic martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom and territorial integrity of our country. Then, the students demonstrated the proofs they had prepared in advance and gave a 1-minute presentation. At the end of the competition, the winners were announced by the decision of the jury (Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Associate Professor Khalida Hasanova, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Teaching Technology, Associate Professor Meftun Heydarova, Associate Professor of the Department Natavan Allahverdiyeva, Senior Lecturer Aynura Aliyeva, and Chairwoman of the Student Scientific Society Zarifa Samadzade).
Turkana Baghirova was awarded first place, Khadija Bakhtiyarova second place, and Fidan Rzayeva third place and were awarded with an honorary diploma.
At the end of the event, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Associate Professor Khalida Hasanova, made a speech, congratulated the participants, and highly appreciated their activity. She emphasized that such intellectual competitions make a significant contribution to the formation of a thinking culture among students, the in-depth assimilation of the scientific essence of mathematics, and the development of speech skills. She wished all participants success in their future endeavors.
