On October 16, in accordance with the annual action plan of the Civil Defense, Occupational Safety and Fire Protection Headquarters of Sumgayit State University (SSU), a model lesson on the topic "Organization of Population Protection in Emergency Situations" was held jointly with the Civil Defense Department of the Sumgayit Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES). Head of the Civil Defense, Medical and Physical Preparedness Department at SSU, Tahir Khalilov made a speech and emphasized the need for educational work to prevent emergencies and prepare the population for these situations. Then, Head of the Civil Defense Preparedness Department of the Civil Defense Department, Major Suleyman Elchin spoke about the structure of the civil defense system, the measures taken to ensure the safety of the population, and the responsibilities of citizens. At the event, Senior Advisor to the Civil Defense Preparedness Department, Tamerlan Aliyev spoke on the topics of "Organization of Population Protection in Emergency Situations" and Officer of the Civil Defense Measures Planning Department, Captain Altay Huseynov spoke on the topics of "Ensuring Fire Safety, Rescue Techniques and Equipment."
They provided extensive information on the rules of conduct before, during and after emergencies, the organization of first aid, warning systems and the organization of rescue operations.
