On October 21, a meeting was held at Sumgayit State University (SSU) with students who participated in the summer internship program of “SOCAR Turkiye”. The event was attended by the university administration, faculty, representatives of “SOCAR Downstream Management” LLC, and students who successfully completed the internship program. Acting rector of the university, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Aminaga Sadigov made a speech and congratulated the students, emphasizing that the knowledge and skills they have acquired will play an important role in their future careers. He noted that the educational reforms carried out in the country are aimed at improving the quality of higher education and training personnel in accordance with the requirements of the labor market. In this regard, internship programs organized at leading industrial enterprises such as SOCAR Turkiye are an important platform for students to strengthen their knowledge in a practical environment. Professor Aminaga Sadigov expressed his gratitude to the management of SOCAR Downstream Management LLC and SOCAR Turkiye for their support. He emphasized that the selection of SSU students to these programs is an indicator of the quality of education formed at the university, the level of professional training of students and the potential for international cooperation. In his speech, A. Sadigov also touched upon the fruitful cooperation relations between SSU and SOCAR and said that the production experience of university students in various structural divisions of SOCAR and enterprises such as "Petkim" operating in Turkiye allows them to improve their engineering skills and enter the labor market more prepared. Recruitment officer at SOCAR Downstream Management LLC, Mashallah Isgandarov spoke and provided information about the goals, content, and results achieved by the students of the internship program. He noted that SSU students are distinguished by their level of knowledge, discipline and professional behavior, and emphasized the importance of this cooperation being sustainable. Then, students of the Faculty of Engineering - Telman Adigozalov, Sanan Musazade, Farid Mammadov and Solmaz Ganbarova shared their impressions of their summer internship at the Turkish company "Petkim".They stated that the experience they gained in a real production environment played an important role in their professional development and expressed their gratitude to SOCAR management for the created conditions. At the end of the meeting, the representative of SOCAR Downstream Management LLC, Mashallah Isgandarov, was presented with a letter of appreciation by the university administration for the support and cooperation provided to the students in the internship program.
