On October 20, the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an award ceremony for the winners of the Statistical Olympiad on the occasion of World Statistics Day. More than 500 students from 53 educational institutions participated in the Olympiad, organized among high school students and students. A second-year student of the Philology Faculty of Sumgayit State University, Nazrin Velizade showed high results and entered the top ten. She distinguished herself in the field of statistical analysis and analytical thinking, demonstrating her broad potential despite studying in the humanitarian specialty. It should be noted that deputy dean of the Faculty of History and Geography of the University, senior lecturer and member of the local organizing committee of the Olympiad, Aysel Shamilova acted as the leader of the students.
